Initially focusing on performance (flute) as soloist and orchestra member, Celeste’s career as composer started with the orchestration of works for young soloists for youth concerto festivals.

Celeste has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Pretoria, South Africa (2008), majoring in composition, music theory, music technology and flute performance.

In 2009 Celeste completed a Berklee Music Online certificate program in Film Scoring, Orchestration, Music Production and Video Game Audio. She subsequently moved to Boston, USA in 2010 to study film scoring at the Berklee College of Music and graduated in 2012 with a Professional Diploma in Film Scoring and Video Game Scoring.  She was awarded the 2012 Berklee Alf Clausen Award for Film Scoring.

As part of her student visa working year, Celeste worked in Los Angeles as a composer’s assistant and freelance composer. She scored various independent film and game projects.

Celeste has her own music studio in Pretoria, South Africa and works worldwide over the internet.
